Unable to speak my desires in a prayer
Harshly judging them with my intellectual fears
Stirring my emotions, both good and bad
There’s a battle raging inside my head
Please answer my wordless prayers
Is asking to be loved too much to ask
I feel he who invented it would understand
Created to love and be loved
Walking through my life giving all I am
Meeting others who have done the same
Giving to those with blinded eyes
Unable to see the love given to them for free
We are so tired and worn
Holding each other in a loving embrace
Whispering “I love you”
Echoing the same
Can't you see that there's light in the dark.
Nothing's quite what it seems in the city of dreams.
