Timing is Everything:Forty-one Experiences

I am sick of doing what is right.
I ask myself, “What is right?”
Whose eyes am I using?
Mine? I think not.
I am tired of punching a time-clock.
My stomach is all tied in knots.
When will I do what is right in my eyes?
I do not know.
The eyes of a adolescent are not mine, no more.
They have matured with time.
Will the timing ever be right?
Probably not.
Unfortunately now is not the time.
Material things should not matter to me.
The sad truth of my world today, is they do.
I must have money to follow my dreams.
Patience is a virtue that I need.
If it was just about me, I would pack and leave.
God has blessed me from what I’ve seen.
I need to hold on tight to my dreams…
Can't you see that there's light in the dark.
Nothing's quite what it seems in the city of dreams.

    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say

Quite the conundrum. I know how you feel!
