Okay, so obviously it's the same music but a different vocal melody. For me, it's a landslide victory for Footsteps. No contest!

Actually, this was the point way back in the day when I realized how far superior Vedder is to Cornell.

Anyone like Times of Trouble better?

I love footsteps. One of my favourite songs. "I got scratches all over my arms, one for each day, since i fell apart." What a great line.

That was the first time i heard times of trouble.

god damn how i love them both. however, pj is my favorite band and i get more emotionally swayed when listening to ed. therefore, footsteps. however, soundgarden and all the other cornell projects (would include temple obviously) are my second favorite band/artist/colaberation thing, so i also think times of trouble is amazing.

no he was the one who named it Times of Trouble

as well as Dollar Short and Agytian Crave (known now as alive/once)

those 3 "mamasan" songs....were the only 3 songs brought to MLB before Andy passed.
as for the other gossman project songs...they were all working titles that dealt with the key the song was in or time signature

    (Richard's E, Evil E, Doobie E, Weird A, 7up, Folk D, etc)

For me it's not a competition.

They are both terrific songs in their own right.

    Times of Trouble.

And is it true Alive, or Dollar Short rather had lyrics penned by Andy Wood before he died?

    I prefer...

    oh god it's hard....

Times of Trouble. but Footsteps is so close behind.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
  • Footsteps is a GREAT song it was one of the first Pearl Jam songs I really got into, while Times Of Trouble is hands down my favorite Temple Of The Dog song.

    So I choose Dirty Frank
"If my thoughts, dreams, could be seen, they'd probably put my head, in a guillotine, but it's alright ma, it's life and life only."
