    As I was reading through this I was going to guess that. It's interesting that you feel confident to call it little in front of all these people, though :) KIDDING!. I once wrote something about the same thing, I refered to it as "your smaller self", the line was something to the effect of "anything to please your smaller self", or i might have just left it as small self, I can't remember.
