When I was a young boy
I loved to play in the muck
Now that I’m getting older
Only do it when I’m down on luck

No days of rainy football
Diving in the marsh
I know you see just what I mean
But to me I’m still not clean

Its dark
With grime
Seems to me
Been here a damn long time
What else
Can I do
Im a sorted man
Now Im sorting it all through /out
Don’t want a rainy September
Bitter fall is already hear
I can see the birds are flying
Cold of winter drawing near

Wait
Waiting through the mud
Don’t know just how deep it goes
But Im diving right on in
See if I can find my own way out

Cant stop
Going down
I search for a gem
Within all the muck
Hesitate
And Im though
Dry up so damn fast
I wont know what to do

Well my muddy days aren’t over
Though I see the sun peeking through
I don’t know how long it will take
But when it dries up I’ll surely like the view

Its dark
With grime
Seems to me
Been here a damn long time
What else
Can I do
Im a sorted man
Now Im sorting it all through
Don’t want a rainy September
Bitter fall is already hear
I can see the birds are flying
Cold of winter drawing near

Stop, right now
Can’t you see how deep I’m in
The mud is frozen over
You don’t want to see me disappear
Come any closer and you’ll find your own way in
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key
