this is inspired by a quote from Lords of Dogtown (Great movie if you havn't seen it)

"revolution always starts on the street"

anyways, I just wrote it in 5 minutes, and will probably change it,and am therefore open to suggestions.

When you walk
Through these streets
Can you feel
The life within
Can you sense
All the pain
Do you pray
For that time again

Will you join the biggest fight
Will you join into the rage
Will you watch
Or join right in
You’ve got to bring out brighter days

Great men have come
We’ve seen them fall
We know there names
Would they now watch
Or fight again
They’d help mend some of the evil ways

And when they lost
Did they win
They didn’t see
The very end
But the path
They did begin

When you walk
Through these streets
Can you feel
The life within
Can you sense
All the pain
Do you pray
For that time again

And in the stone
And sidewalk cracks
We see the weeds
Grow from the past
And on the walls
Its written clear
Great wings to flight
Now forgotten years

And in the minds
Of passers by
Sense alarm
And in their eyes
They grow apart
They fell so far

And will you see
It flow through streets
With ample noise
And our stomping feet
Raise your voice
Scream out loud
Stay the course
We wont be beat

You know that we will not allow

When you walk
Through these streets
Can you feel
The life within
Can you sense
All the pain
Do you pray
For that time again

Speak those words
Speak them loud
Show your will
Show your proud
Make a stand
Lead the way
Do all you can
Bring upon us
A better day

And if you’ve lost
Know that we’ve won
We’re all together
It’s not just one

It’s not just one

It always in streets
Then comes you and me
It always in streets
Then comes you and me
It always in streets
It always in streets
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key

Nicely written depop. Even without the explanation, it is interesting to read and try to figure out. Sounds like a good movie. It's got some really great lines in it and fighting for a purpose you believe in is something completely worthwhile. I think this is another one of my favorites that you've written.

    Some of my favorite lines:
    "And in the stone
    And sidewalk cracks
    We see the weeds
    Grow from the past
    And on the walls
    Its written clear
    Great wings to flight
    Now forgotten years"

That's really cool to read. Thanks for that. Good post.
