Give me an address
Somewhere to send my best to you
I’m sick of fighting
But didn’t think we were yet through
I see you packed your suitcase
Is that your everything
I see you eyes aren’t bleeding
Did we ever mean a thing

I guess this day was growing near
I guess I’m the one to blame
I guess I wasn’t trying
When I gave you everything
I guess I’m not in your plans
I guess that’s why your moving on
I guess you won’t tell me
Because I never saw this happening

You leave me hear standing
Never having the slightest clue
So you must be an actress
Because you left me in the blue
But I will not follow
Though I still care
I’ll let you start running
But know I’ll never be there

Headaches are coming
They come from my loving
Don’t know what stake I drove
Clearly there’s a wedge between me and you
Showed by tidal waves
The wounding pouring
Filling my thoughts
Curiosity set a blaze
How did this happen
I never ignored
Provided you passion
And all those pretty things
Why did you leave me
I guess I’ll never know
I’ll write you this letter
Never knowing where it should go
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key

I've got a 4/4 beat here on my guitar. The music doesn't need too many changes, the twists and turns are in the twists of mood in the words. You're a songwriter, and a goodun. Good luck with the band!

    I second that...

  • Thanks all

I personally am not a strong huitar player. I have a hard time playing and singin at the same time, unless it is a song I practice a whole buch....but I don't really do that....I prefer writing em over anything.

Thanks. I appreciate that. i do however find it frustrating that when I really spend time on something it turns out less than par, but when I spend 3 minutes and spit something out, it ussually turns out better. I guess that is the passion of the moment thing. I think that when a person starts writing something, they are really into it, and that can be felt throughout a writing more often when it is done quickly. I think that when you actually (or myself anyways) start putting time into writing you become lost/bored/over-think the piece.
