Remember
Years of past
Overlooked her love
Compassion that would not last

Aching
Restless soul
Feels it
Hates it but oh how he begs for more

She left him alone
She went away
He’ll patch his heart
He’ll mend his ways

Remembers days of passion
Wishes they were real
Knows what he has lost
He sees the light
Where was that before
Sees all he’s lost
He craves her now
But she closed that door
Knows all he’s lost

Waiting
For a day
It hurts less
Still feels such pain
I won’t go away

Looking for another day
Begging to feel the same
But in another way
He needs it
Emotion to overcome
He believes it
He’ll find the passion of another one

Remembers days of passion
Wishes they were real
Knows what he has lost
He sees the light
Where was that before
Sees all he’s lost
He craves her now
But she closed that door
Knows all he’s lost
He recalls the glory days
He craves them
He wants it back
He won’t treat her the same

The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes

    I thought to myself....what would happen if she decided to leave. Would it be bitter? Violent? Happiness? Regret? A combination, or other?

    I always think of that when I hear betterman....thought I would put my 2 cents in.
    The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

    And I won't make the same mistakes

    Because I know how much time that wastes

    probably a little bit of all of them...I think you captured the mixed emotions and indecision very well...good read depop
