Poster Sale = Test Servers For Tour Sale

Not sure if this has been said, but I think 10C has done this in the past. Find some posters in the closet, announce a sale to test their server capacity. Then release tour dates with pre-sales to follow.....

    Do you mean test those servers and then use those servers to sell tickets on if they stand up to the poster rush?

    I think he's (or she) onto something...with the whole Ed tour ticket fiasco and all the extra charges and error messages, this could very well be a trial run for tickets on a tour!!

    Nope the demand for posters is much less then that for tickets.

    plus they did not find some poster in the closet

    thay have put on hold selling all the 07 posters because of other matters...... like eddie tours, vinyl releases, holiday single and such

    and if they wanted it they would test it with a poster in higher demand

    I kind of thought the same thing...there seems to be alot of rumors about east coast shows in June...so they would go on sale soon.

    Seems like they always do something like this (poster sale etc..) before a big announcement. I could be completely wrong but i think there is something to the original thread starters theory. I hope he is right.

    so you mean test the same servers they have been using why ? i would say it's a good idea only if they were testing new servers ,we allready know the one's in place don't work properly ........

    The ones in place could be updated. Software, hardware, routers, etc. "could" improve things.

    Just a hunch.

    yeah that would help i guess, it's just that we will never know since 10c refuses to acknowledge they do have server problems or give us any info on the matter ...

    Anyone remember the 'mystery poster sale' that happened in the months before they went on tour? As I recall they didn't have any problems with the servers during ticket sales. I think this is a test. They will probably sell a few more 07's and then it will be tour announcement time.

    between the vic and the ev solo tour i've pretty much lost all hope

    this poster won't have the same volume of hits that those other 2 had

    usually i'm not bitter, but...

    The vic and eddie tour was the most crazy thing i think i have ever experienced here i didnt get the benoroyal hall vvinyal but i did get the into the wild and had no problem so we will see what happens

    I concur. Trying for tickets for the solo tour (and I only wanted SD tix!) was hands-down the most stressful thing I've ever experienced! :eek: <whew>

    You may be right. But I think they definitely upgraded. The Vic was and incredibly quick and smooth transaction. Right when it sold out, the poster icon disappeared rather then the "temp sold out".

    Benaroya vinyl was up for like 12 hours (in stock)... how did you not get one? :)

    However, would the Ten Club actually admit to themselves and us at this point that they are underprepared for and overwhelmed by this sad system they have in place for selling PJ tickets online?

    They put it and when it sells out they take it down....

    Before some of us never saw the icon for tickets and such...

    I like this thinking. They put up a poster that they know a lot of people will want to see what happens. Then right after a birdy comes to drop some news.

    Kudos to the clairvoyant NCFUSER.

    I still don't think it is a PJ tour--most likely EV east coast.
