It’s down there on corner

I can see it every morning/day


It’s down there on corner

Our morals swept so far away


It’s down there on corner


We all walk by
We all turn away
We all do our best to ignore

Is the society you thought we’d breed
Is this your vision
Are we really living so much better
Is that really what you see

It’s the substitute to society
Hate to admit it
This culture bleeds right from our pours
It’s the substitute to society
We’re living right here within
Where’s the tradition we held dearly before

We bitch and moan
The world’s not the way we planned
We just want money
Seems it’s all we need
No need for so much power
That’s not our type of greed

Is this the way it was before
Can’t really see it
I’ve never heard anyone say
Is the way the whole world’s living
Will we ever change our ways

Substitute society
See it on the corner every day
Substitute society
No your really not in control

You say you live your own life
You say you live your own way
Is that something you should be so proud of
When the world’s just crumbling away

Just take a look around
We still live in great oppression
Your arms dangling by their strings

So say
You’re the one in control of you
That’s what they want you to say
Oh hey
They’re your surely not the one to blame
You never did nothing
To make the world this way

So say
This all unfolded way before your time
You live your own way
How can you be the one to blame
Oh hey
Stepping back might not be the cause
Be we’ve all seen that it ain’t the cure

Your part of the substitute society
Each can hang their head in shame
Substitute society
See it on the corner every day
Substitute society
No more humanity in our world today
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key

    my question to all of you....what do you see on "the corner"

    The corner has a big impact for many people. This past Friday a sense of insecurity came over me. A man who is an offender walked down my road. He lives on the corner.
    K-The lost will do their best to get home, if they are loved. To our soldiers who have given what they had.

    This held so much truth depop and such an important message to everyone...it affects us all even if we choose to ignore it...those who sleep must awaken, we are all important in the choices we make...good read! :)

    I see on the corner...

    lives being wasted on meth
    People giving up on change

    it seems that for years, as bad as things get, people have always tried to help. Now I see people walk away. It is very unfortunate, but so many of the drugs out there now are so powerfull, a helping hand usually is for not...sad but true. I also see people turning away because so often the one who tries helping ends up getting hurt

    it is a sad society we have grown into

    A very powerful and gripping drug. Sometimes the only way to help is at a distance. I have fed friends who had been lost and even gave them a place to come down. But I know a theif is behind the habit. It takes a strong will to overcome such a force, it is around every corner. Lovin's
