Ticket and Poster Packages??????
I think it would be a great idea if the Ten Club offered ticket and poster packages. Like the DVD and CD "specials".
Then at the ticket window when you pick up your tickets you can pick up your poster and take it to the car.
Just another great idea I have that will go to waste.
O Well.

Must be added to the ticket pair:
Ticket Pair
or
Ticket Pair With One Poster.
Don't think it would add more stress to the servers then already there during ticket time.
i would LOVE this!
as i recently have gotten into the posters, and now have a *complete* collection of shows attended, i have been thinking about this. i LOVE to preparty with fellow fans, etc.....one of the perks of shows in the US, no worries about queuing up to reserve your spot on the rail, etc. so yea...i have no desire to queue up early for a poster. i think it would be AWESOME of 10c to offer a poster with ticket purchase. NOT difficult at all. also would be good, see how high the demand is BEFORE printing, and of course, print enough to sell at the show too. win-win!

they could print more. solved. it IS their choice to do, or not, still can have a limited run, just up it more to meet more of the demand. they make more $$$, more fans are happy, again...win-win.

Actually my guess is that you'd have people who bought a poster sight unseen and would be bitching and complaining that it was another piece of garbage from Ames. Also part of the collectability (and draw) of posters is their limited print run.

That is a wonderful idea! Offering the tickets as a package deal like 2 tickets + Poster + Bootleg
having the poster shipped after the show and the bootleg available as a digital download.
That would be an awesome perk for being a 10C member!

that is their choice to make. and, they STILL could be a limited run. however, instead of say 1,500......make it 2,500...whatever.
i agree that is PART of the draw, for SOME. for me, it's about the original artwork for each specific show, and also BEING at the show. there are ALL sorts of reasons people collect the posters.
that's definitely ONE perspective.

Why cant they print more? They could print just enough for the people who order them on 10C, then subtract that number from how many they would normally print, and sell the rest at the show.

But how about just for 10C members that buy tickets for the show? and then have 100 at the show.
I believe the nuumber of prints is agreed upon by the artist, band and printer. But if the printer can only fit 2000 prints of 5 shows (10,000 different prints) into its schedule then that's all they can print. The printer does a hell of alot more printing that just concert poster I'm sure. Also an artist may want their work to be in a limited number and not 20,000 prints of one piece of work out there on the market (thus decreasing value and collectability)

seriously.
i had NO IDEA about the posters until 2004, and only b/c i finally met some 10c diehards, etc...who told me all about it. i joined the 10c in 2002...first shows in 2003....i NEVER even saw a poster my first 4 shows. why? b/c obviously i had NO idea about these very limited posters. i imagine most who DO know and purchase, are true-diehards...10c members...people here....etc. i doubt too many 'regular joe' fans ever even get a glimpse of em.
in regards to being limited, 10c tix are limited nowadays....so even if there are 1k pairs to a given show (thinking 20K capacity at a venue) welll then, can STILL have a 1,500 run. at MOST 10clubbers buying tix + poster get that 1K, and have the 500 for all else. or to me, i STILL don't see why they can't UP the limited run by say 1K. still limited. whatever. i am all about the most happiness for all.
*and i am by no means suggesting a HUGE run, and i totally understand the whole artist-thing, that's what i got my degrees in. just sayin'. about the only 'arguement' against it i can honestly see is the printer availability, but i still think....possible/doable if they so desired. just all thoughts.....

You could be very right as far as the limits per contract with the artist.
It'd be nice though not to have to wait in line for hours to make sure you are the first and then run in... ugh!
This year Ill be 5 months pregnant for both shows and trying to fight for a poster at the merch booth will be a bitch on wheels!!!
I’m sending hubby for this one, but he is just not as feisty as I am…
I like it, though.

There most definitely would be posters available for 10c members who purchase tix before they're released to the public. The 10c probably only has access to roughly 750-1,000 seats per show to offer members. And if they sell them in pairs and guarantee one poster per purchase that means they would only have to pull 500 or so posters from the run and leave the remaining qty for the casual concert goer.
Hell, they could even make the posters secured through the 10c pre-sale the "limited" edition copy by having THOSE one's numbered while leaving the ones offered at the show unnumbered. Just my two cents...
Peace,
