nice

You keep on saying that your so damned intellectual
I don’t understand,
But your not very nice
You hesitate claiming my inferior complex is superior
I smile and nod,
Have it your way
Hey I’m not very bright

Do as you want
Say as you will
I’ll stand aat bay
Wait to laugh first

So you look, at my life oh so cynical
You speak from your throat
Try to hit where it hurts
So I gaze, at a life grown too whimsical
Snicker well
Pursue nothing
Look, laugh, you’re a joke

You keep on saying that your so damned intellectual
What do you mean
To you what means bright
You wave your finger, truly a superior
If that’s the case
Are we all screwed
That doesn’t seem right

Do as you want
Say as you will
I’ll stand at bay
Wait to laugh first
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key

    wow, that was really good depop...it is hard to defend yourself against someone who purposefully hits where it hurts, they do it on purpose, like a game...to some it is a challenge and some a defense; I am probably either a bore or too much of a goody-goody, I hate hurting other people even if they deserve it and I know full-well what they are doing; someone really close to me is like that (though not as bad now) and my response is always, "I am not your enemy, don't fight me tooth and nail, I don't deserve that and neither do you"...anywho that was good! :)

    thanks all, and it's a song that I am still working on a bit, but yes a song.

    I started it with the line "You wave your finger, truly a superior" which as inspired while listenning to 10000 days...The Pot..."who are you to wave your finger; you musta been outta your head"

    I catch myself saying such painful things too, quite often even.
    Mostly it's just a defence-sometimes a game-against someone who has hurt me in the past, with their actions and lack thereof ... anyhow, what I'm trying to say is that I look at this poem as being personal, even though it's not.
    Whatever, you just made me think if what i'm doing is right.

    Chair
    Keep restrained
    Life does walk
    Pass on by
    Back way when
    I wish I knew
    Half my life
    Lived with out a clue
