Oh baby

She sighs, she breathes,
smells the aromas,
the scent of a baby,
with powder, with lotion,

the cleanness, the purety,
the honest laughter,
of wide bright eyes and a crooked smile with no teeth,

speaking a language without coherent words,
but priceless to the listener,
priceless to the heart,

the warmness like sunshine,
or a rainbow mirrored on the water,
stars falling from heaven in a dark calm night,

the blissfulness of small hands,
perplexed at your eyelashes,
batting at your eyebrows,
amazed by how they suddenly end,

who eagerly gets excited at the contents of their
little playpen world,
and will doze off in mid-feeding,
ruler of the dream land,

this little blessing that can be so demanding,
so needy, so relentless,
who always seems to never tire of "again"
brings love without barriers,
melts away sorrows,
when you realize that you are their world and without you they can not fend...
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!
