Dry Eyes

Holding them as they cry,
looking at me with red rimmed eyes,
pleading and begging for no goodbyes,
but my eyes remain dry,

Showing momentos and sentiments from the past,
longing and sadness seem to last,
trying to convience me that all was a lie,
but my eyes remain dry,

Excuses and reasons for all of the wrongs,
reassurance that the darkness is gone,
forcing guilt and how you will die,
but my eyes remain dry,

Using all tactics and genuine hurt,
knowing what is happening, fearing the worst,
devasting pain as I force goodbye,
but my eyes remain dry...
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!

I like this one. It's very descriptive. I wish I were there to hug you.

Why thank you so much! Wow! I don't know what to say! You are too kind! Perfect is a word that I find rather hard to grasp. Thanks, much appreciated!
