Innocence

We underrate them,
devalue their worth,
we make mockeries of their apparent innocence,

Using cutting remarks and cruel jabs,
because we don't feel they've had the pain that we've had,

Jealous because they seem to still have hope,
somehow they found the "saving" rope,

But the value they hold with their concern and optimistic cheer,
could teach great lessons on how to genuinely feel,

Because they haven't lashed out at themselves or the world,
we automatically assume they don't understand and shouldn't be heard,

To get through their struggles with love and a smile,
takes such grace and indearing style,

That perhaps embracing would teach so much,
and we would have to admit that we've been positively touched...
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!

  • a great read
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key

Hey, I just relised how much you've been around recently, since you rarely, if ever, were before. It's really good to see. YOu are as nice as your sister and is really great seeing the interaction you two have together. I hope you sick around :)

Thank you Pacifier! That is very kind of you to say. Yeah, I made fun of her alot at first, kept bugging her about "being in the Pit again". I must admit however, that I do rather like it. I have always been a big fan of all types of art. I dabble when I can. You are very nice as well Pacifier and I have found so are alot of the others. Besides, I have to look out for my little sis (3 minutes younger) and see what she is up to...one of my jobs is to annoy her and I am very good at it! Hee! Hee! Plus I want to see what I change into and when from being an "animal"....Gggrrrrrr :o)))
