Blind Faith

Always by my side,
you will not let me self-destruct,
even when I hide,
you never seem to give up,
While I ignore you, you wait with open arms,
when I seem to stray,
you shield me from certain harm,
I turn away from you and you remind me that you're there,
and in my heart I can feel that you care,
What is it that you want from me,
why do you hold me up,
when I feel so broken and I know I have had enough,
The strength you seem to think I have that I do not see,
yet in my darkest hour you will never let me be,
you give me gifts and signs and cushion the hardest blows,
All I have to do is call to you and peace and clarity is what I know,
many say I'm foolish and crazy for the blind faith that I hold,
but I know my character is what you try to mold,
So than I humbly swallow my pride and think unselfishly,
perhaps this life that is not mine can help set others free...
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!

When I read the first four lines I thought of my twin, but it seems to be more of a parent/child relationship?

I really like this. Guessing it's eihter about someone close or about God. If it's god, it remind me of footprints. Have you read that? you probably have, it's very well known. I love it.

It's God...Yes, I love Footprints. Actually I use to have a clock that had it on it that I got in Ocean City. It had a beautiful painting on it. My than significant other hated it and threw it away. He thought it was too cheesy looking and is not particularly spiritual, not beneficial to his wants.
