If I had a magic wand...

I would make all their little bellies full,
give them parents who really care,
blind their eyes to misery,
smog-proof their air,
Make each passing day brighter,
teach them how to love,
bandage cuts with tenderness,
never be stingy with hugs,
I would teach them to help others,
make their foundation strong,
encourage their dignity and how to rise above,
Protect them from danger,
let them play with imaginative wonder,
clothe them, feed them, not let them go under,
Guarded from worldly tradegies to have their potential met,
I would gladly give myself to them to be their safety net...
give them parents who really care,
blind their eyes to misery,
smog-proof their air,
Make each passing day brighter,
teach them how to love,
bandage cuts with tenderness,
never be stingy with hugs,
I would teach them to help others,
make their foundation strong,
encourage their dignity and how to rise above,
Protect them from danger,
let them play with imaginative wonder,
clothe them, feed them, not let them go under,
Guarded from worldly tradegies to have their potential met,
I would gladly give myself to them to be their safety net...
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!

Thanks BE! I have a soft spot for kids. I hate that in alot of ways they are defenseless to the cruelty of the world. Although it would make me more insane than I already am, I wish I could help them all. It makes me physically ill to see them suffer. Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,

it's too bad that the title refers to "if" - it's almost as if that's what takes in this world anymore...magic and luck...for people to get what they need and deserve. thanks for posting.I'll dig a tunnel
