The Jar

The jar was large,
glass enclosed,
with table knives,
poking holes,

Let them breathe,
excitement in the air,
leave them on the
window sill there,

See them light
the darkness with care,
they shine, they glow,
their wings they bare,

By morning light,
unscrew the lid,
looking down on what we did,

Some fly away into the sun,
glowing more, carrying on,
some lay motionless in the bottom of the jar,
so much like fireflies we all are...
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!
