Tonights

It's tonight
and I still miss you
Tomorrow will be another tonight too
Because the tonights seem to never end
One right after another but I swear they're all the same
Sleeping doesn't cure my misery
Because my dreams are of tonights
And the nights are cold and lonely
The same lonely that loves me more than you do
The same lonely that's in my heart as you once were
The difference is that lonely won't leave me like you
She's just sitting here, silently looking out my eyes
Torturing me from the inside out
Taking my thoughts and turning them into you
Taking my life and making them tonights
This is why I plead for a tomorrow but it seems
It will never arrive, just like you will never return
So my tonights will continue on

Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead
decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter
he grew a beard.

quite true and i like your poem.
we suffer in this time, our timed lives wither, wanting a better tomorrow.
our feelings twist around an hour glass.
    everything we do takes time.
    everything is time.

what about tomorrow already being yesterday or that tomorrow was already many yrs ago.
thats what the speed of light is.
but then again our lives are in light-years.

    thanks

sometimes we want a better tommorow...but we hold on to the thoughts that cause the pain so that the better tomorrows never come

Like we want it to be better, but we won't let it or our mind won't

    true.
which is why holding onto negative memories energy drags us down.
pulls one into a reverse like state or like treading water, going nowhere.
hard to overcome some bunk ass problems one might have.
dwelling on our real life nightmares/problems causes illness.
