the moon crept out of sight

the moon was beautiful
I wish you could have been there
my window was dirty and blotchy
but I couldn't stop staring at the moon

no wonder I didn't get any sleep
I wish you'd been there

I made some tea
enough for two cups like always
think I drank only half though

I saw so many stars too!
I know how much you like stars
or was that just me?

then the universe moved and
the moon crept out of sight
I listened to some music,
thought about all kinds of thigs
like I always do

I just wish you could have been there

    last night
you threw us a full moon
    from across the sea

it lit up the snow covered ground
the night almost turned a color of blue
    instead of darkness
I love to turn you on

thank you kindly. :) and you're very very welcome. I find that the greatest compliment is somebody being inspired by something I've written.

    eMMI,

How about when someone writes with the inspiring energy that comes from someone/a Muse?

inspiration, no matter where/who it comes from, is pretty much always a good thing.

and that someone/Muse will most likely be very flattered..

...last night while staring into space
my little girls clung to the windowsill
amazed that with the shades open
    they had the best nightlight...
I love to turn you on
