the moon crept out of sight

the moon was beautiful
I wish you could have been there
my window was dirty and blotchy
but I couldn't stop staring at the moon
no wonder I didn't get any sleep
I wish you'd been there
I made some tea
enough for two cups like always
think I drank only half though
I saw so many stars too!
I know how much you like stars
or was that just me?
then the universe moved and
the moon crept out of sight
I listened to some music,
thought about all kinds of thigs
like I always do
I just wish you could have been there
I wish you could have been there

you threw us a full moon
from across the sea
it lit up the snow covered ground
the night almost turned a color of blue
instead of darkness
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."

why thanks.
(assuming you're talking about me instead of mr. Dunne )
first thing I've written in a looooong time, glad I got something out.
that's beautiful.
yes you eMMI.
tis your thread.
although mr. Dunne
does have an impressive
addition to this thread.
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
Chief Joseph - Nez Perce
can't hurt to be sure.
impressive indeed.
thanks, you're not so bad yourself!! and thanks for the inspiration!!!
thanks.
thank you kindly. and you're very very welcome. I find that the greatest compliment is somebody being inspired by something I've written.
eMMI,
How about when someone writes with the inspiring energy that comes from someone/a Muse?
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
Chief Joseph - Nez Perce
inspiration, no matter where/who it comes from, is pretty much always a good thing.
and that someone/Muse will most likely be very flattered..
my little girls clung to the windowsill
amazed that with the shades open
they had the best nightlight...
oh the powerful Muse.
how awesome the energy
contained inside such wonders.
"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
Chief Joseph - Nez Perce
still lay down watch the moon, I
miss my window frame
