They live by night

You're lying in bed, listening to every ric or rac you hear from aroung you. The room is pitch black, it's night. As you're lying there in order to fall asleep, listening to your heart pound. You can't take it anymore, you dive under your blanket, they can't get there, you're safe. It's summer and it's hot, especially under the covers, but you can't come out because they live by night - bugs.

There are many kinds of bugs. Some can fly, some can't, some bite, some don't. Some bugs look unpleasant, some.. Well, all bugs look unpleasant. Maybe that's why so many people fear them. Or maybe fear is a wrong word, how could you fear something at least 10 000 times smaller than you? Lets say that many people don't want to see, touch or be anywhere near bugs.

I've heard that one human being swallows about seven spiders during his or her life. And when does this happen? Mostly during sleeping, by night. Now let me say, knowing that does not make it any easier for me to get sleep during summertime, I know bugs are everywhere and to top it all off I have a fair chance of swallowing some of them!

Night crawlers, what a descriptive name. Bugs crawl, the "kings of the nights" crawl around, they're everywhere. We dislike them but, come to think of it, why try to kill them all? We can never succeed, why not let them have the night? That's fine by me, read this you bugs, keep the night! Just stay away form me or you'll be sorry!

This is cute eMMI - it made me smile...and I am not afraid of creepy crawlies except for scorpions, poisionous spiders, and bees... :)
