got a call today
"hey, how are you,
wanna get together someday?"
of course I said yes
long time, no see
I had feared our friendship
gone would be

you called me again
"am I at the right door?"
yes you were, I hugged you tightly
I made you make your coffee
just like before
we satt down and talked like never before

then you had to go
I had my own life too
you said
"lets do this again, I think.
how about you?"
of course I said yes
this thing I wanna keep
I walked you to the door
thinking when we could meet

a friendship is a friendship
and ours so deep
I don't want to lose this
do you hear your telephone beep?

That was cute. I had a mental picture in my head the whole time while reading it.
  • To me, it reminded me of freinds who live far away. It's always awesome to see them and so hard to see them go. :) Thanks for that, eMMI!
