Keys To Locks

there's a key to every lock that I've got
some are misplaced and some are not
if the world tries to pull me to an evil plot
I'll look up and ask "is it already 6 o'clock"

I'm fitting all locks to the found keys
they don't always fit even if I beg "please"
but then I turn around and what do I see?
a bunch of keys that are new to me

now I have many keys but the locks are still plenty
that's ok, at least I ain't empty
world still tricks me, but I treat it friendly

all locks may never open but I don't mind
it happens to everyone
in this we're the same kind

  • I really like the story line, but the rhying didnt seem to flow. Again, loved the whole story line.

    Keys to locks

    I like that
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key

I didn't mind the rhyming myself. I thought it was a very cool idea.

it is a good idea, and a good poem - it really resonates with me cos of two reasons (anecdotal).....first my baby is building his security on keys.....he wants to know that the bugs and the lions (beesy bees & roahhh) don't have keys to my apartment, and he wants to find out who has keys (only Mammy and Dada) - he is fixated on keys.....the second reason it resonates with me is cos as I told my psychiatrist in hospital last February, I had a dream with a voice saying 'I will give you iron keys to rule the world'......now how crazy is that? heheheheheh.....I love your poem......it makes me think of codes too.....cyphers.....keys are so important!!!!
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

    for sure! :)

that line was written after a while of pondering things.. it's hard for me to admit that I can't solve every problem. that all the locks will never open.
but I'm kinda cool with it now. mostly.
