Which Way To Go

I'm waiting for the bus
to take me see my future
all the paths I can choose
"decide now!
there's not much time!"
but I'm scared

what if the choice is wrong?
did I leave for nothing?
can I ever come back?

I'm looking inside myself
what do I want?
I see all these expectations
who I maybe should be
"you'd be good at this,
choose our study-line"
but I'm not sure
"Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."

it says "choose our study-line" so I assume you don't know what to study for uni.....

I have studied the following at uni - animal science, youth work, music industry business, and now primary school teaching, plus I was offered a place in a bachelor of short story writing, but I turned it down. Now, I haven't finished any of these courses (although I definately plan on finishing my primary school teaching one) and I am happy as can be. Not to mention I also have completed courses (not university courses, but certified courses) in childcare and retail operations. looking back on it it was quite interesting moving around Australia learning new things, meeting new people. Don't worry, feel free to change your mind.

It's been 6 years since I left highschool. my best friend and my brother seem to have always known what they have wanted to do in life and have worked hard to do it, even when they earn crap-all for it, they love what they are doing. They are the lucky ones. I on the other hand had to look around a little :) I'm geting there, but my desire in life is not so much on a career and more on having a true love and starting a family. I finally found the right guy, so now it's like my mind has settled and I can finally see a future for me, a future in which becoming a teacher would be the best option for me, plus i love kids, so it all works out great.
