thunderstorm, thunderstorm
show me what you are
reveal the power you have got
the one that makes me stand in awe
I'm your kin
lightning in my eyes
wind in my hair and
raindrops running in my veins
thunderstorm, thunderstorm
fill the sky with clouds
let the trees dance to your wind
send down your rain and lightning
show me who I am
show me what you are
reveal the power you have got
the one that makes me stand in awe
I'm your kin
lightning in my eyes
wind in my hair and
raindrops running in my veins
thunderstorm, thunderstorm
fill the sky with clouds
let the trees dance to your wind
send down your rain and lightning
show me who I am

nice poem eMMI
Thunder, Lightning n' Wind
Mother Nature's cleansing
Like waves that wash away the past
Nothing, nothing
but Mother Nature truly lasts
We are but a sand pebble in the shore
yet we know
we are much more
It is up to each of us
to discover the truth of who we really are
and how we came to be
on this planet earther, 3rd from a starCreate Good Things........

No, the thanks should go to your first!
You started it. I like to interact with other poets as we indeed a different creed as we speak a language like no other.
If you'd like to add onto to what I wrote, it may continue, or end, if the thoughts and ideas have said their intended message.
I am honored that you like my reaction to your first action.Create Good Things........

hmm. now you're making me blush.
those are some mighty fine words you're talking there.
I'm usually just very very happy if someone takes the time to comment on my work so when someone interacts with it - I'm off the roof!

I love thunderstorms, sometimes it is like you can feel them sucking the energy right out of you. Gives me chills. you're right. but at the same time I feel like they give me energy.

My own little piece of inspiration....
Quiet before me
Your breath against my face
Coolness, the air about me is changing
What will you bring, I anticipate your arrival
Draw from within me
You take something from inside
A chill climbs through my spine
Magnificence of nature
Darkness, uncertainty lies in wait
Droplets of rain, slowly at first
Rustling of leaves, wind of the trees
Speak to me, tell me your secrets
Sorted sounds and wind
Breaking waves and flashes of light
Destruction always in possibility
Upon approach of my small self
There is no harness of your power
Fleeting moments in time
Your appearance is short
Only to reappear again in another form
The sun glimmers in broken sky
The time was ours only
I watched you
You made yourself known to meHOB 10.05.2005, E Rutherford 06.03.2006, The Gorge 07.22.2006, Lolla 08.05.2007, West Palm 06.11.2008, Tampa 06.12.2008, Columbia 06.16.2008, EV Memphis 06.20.2009, New Orleans 05.01.2010, Kansas City 05.03.20100 -

thank you...again you got me thinking about this. Where I live our storms get pretty intense sometimes, but we are in the long hot/dry months so I must be missing them.HOB 10.05.2005, E Rutherford 06.03.2006, The Gorge 07.22.2006, Lolla 08.05.2007, West Palm 06.11.2008, Tampa 06.12.2008, Columbia 06.16.2008, EV Memphis 06.20.2009, New Orleans 05.01.2010, Kansas City 05.03.20100 -

well, the storms can be pretty intense here too. not always though.. this one that inspired that poem was a big one though. not long but very very intense.
well, it's summer so it's quite hot here too. so I'm glad we got a little water when we did, it really cleared up the air.

Mmmm, love a good thunderstorm, eMMI-lou!
It's storming outside my window right now, actually. I'd love to go out and let it pour down on me! Hee Hee! My little sis was just saying the other day that she used to think I was weird because when I was a teen, whenever it rained, I'd go walking. I'd come home soaked and revitalized and looking weird, I guess. LOL!
It's good to feel nature, be a part of it, remind yourself that you really are one with it all.
I liked your thunderstorm.

nature is so amazing. I remember seeing the movie Pocahontas for the first time and when she's telling the guy how indians are one with nature I was thinking: "yeah, that makes total sense!"

We's like kindred spirits, {{eMMs}}! Hee Hee! All 5 of ya runnin' the streets?!--sounds like fun!!!!!
And I totally agree with you--the native indians seem to have it right! It's a shame their traditions and ways of thinking aren't embraced by more.
And hey! {{Pearl_Jam_Necklace}} is freaking happy!!! YAY! I like the sounds of that, chicky!

:) indeed indeed we are. manymanymany hugs to you lovely.

yeh. all of us running and acting silly!!
:)
you are absolutely correct.
I should catch up on my reading about them and their customs.
when I was younger I was really interested about native indians. but that enthusiasm was set aside a little by my new love for wolves. now I've got many new interests but I feel like I should awake a few of the older ones too.
