Why?

You always leave me
questioning "why"?
Once upon a time
you used to try.
The other half, that formed a whole.
Closeness and love, used to be a goal.
I'm the bottom of the barrel
not worth the effort anymore.
I keep trying to remember
when you shut and locked the door.
But it's cold out on the porch
and I just want to come inside.
Remember what we used to be
when I stood right by your side?
I thought our times were special
and they meant as much to you.
But it's a sad song to sing
because that just wasn't true.
My heart just sits here aching
and tears escape my eyes.
Hours will overtake me
and I will still question...."why"?

    twin2, you and i seem to feel each other, albeit sadly. I wish you didnt have these types of poems to write, and that i did not relate so closely to them. This one was very well writen i thought, and i like it a lot. Take care.
