When I sit in Your Chair

I sit in your chair,
and I remember how much you cared.
I can picture your smile bloom,
and I can feel you in everything in this room.
You are a part of me,
and in my heart, you'll always be.
Memories stir tears at the thought,
of how your death turned this room bare.
But I will always remember you,
when I sit in your chair.

My granny. She died when I was in high school. She always sat in her favorite chair and I would sit on the arm of it and spend hours talking to her.
  • without the story i never would have felt the beauty of creation i just felt

sometimes i just feel the holy spirit or the spirit of love and life or whatever anyone wants to say about emotion and it takes me away to a proving ground

I don't know why, and I don't think they're very much related, but as soon as I read this I wrote Detour.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.

i always reminisce on death and why its here to stay.I'm not at all suicidal..but you talk to a shrink or a dr., and they say anyone who drinks or smokes partly is.Been thinking about that character Death and why its here to stay...makes no sense.Maybe in 200 years we'll all be living forever,....

  • I really like this one.
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes

Thanks people. I appreciate the kind words. That was a bad period. Everything/everyone I loved started dying around the same time. I had to have a release, so I wrote my heart out. It helped.
