Where is the love?

There are so many lonely people,
outside my window today.
So many hearts laying wounded in the streets, bleeding,
a sad state of emotional decay.
I wonder why there is so much dead love.
If our hearts were meant to love, why can't we rise above?
Do we just not try hard enough?
Do we go into it with too many expectations that can never live up?
Are differences that great that they overshadow understanding?
Are some people just expecting perfection and being too demanding?
Isn't love supposed to be,
something basic and simple,
not something so out of reach?
Not all the broken hearts I see.

sometimes you write the sweetest poems about love, but I don't know why, but I like the more depressing stuff you write better. That's sad to say, isn't it.0

I generaly like depressing stuff. Call me sick, but its nice to see I am not alone. Personally, I love your writing, and this is great, but I just read never enough and reflections, and was blown completelly away by both of those writingsThe only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!
And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)

oh, for sure I like her happy stuff too, just the sadder stuff is easier to relate to, even though I am happy. Mmm, don't know why. Maybe happiness is more personal or something. don't know.0 -

I think I know what you are saying. This isnt exactly the right words, and I know it will be misinterpreted (wow I found that word very difficult to spell), but...there is somehow a sort of joy in others misery. I dont really know how to explain that. I dont actually want others to have misery, but it like if you see others difficulties its like 'I am not alone' or 'my problems are nothing compared to what being expressed here'

Thanks for the compliments. I usually try to post the happier ones because alot of times there is so much sadness in here I think it needs something bright to lighten it up. I do have plenty of sad ones though (you have no idea!). I guess everyone goes through the rough patches. In some ways, they are learning experiences if you choose to look at them like that.0
