Lives

Lighthouse shine your light for me,
To as far as my eyes can see.
Across the dark, cool bay,
To where the darkness meets the day.

It's not just black and white you see,
But so many shades of gray in between.
So many lives to touch.
Shining, exposed as the sun comes up.

Can't control it all.
Someday we all take a fall.
Hold on to the things that are real.
Things that make you feel.

When your time is all used up,
did you really do enough?
Do you want to return and change the wrong?
Or are you ready to travel on?
