Being Alive

Please listen to what I say,
I could teach you a thing or two.
About this world we live in,
that paves a path for you.

Hold on tight to those you love,
and know it's always enough.
Breathe the air and taste the rain,
enjoy the good times and learn from the pain.

Lend your hand to all who need help,
and love, and love, including yourself.
Material things are meaningless and beauty fades away,
peace is a prize at the end of the day.

Don't get caught up in addictions,
or waste time on fake predictions.
Offer kisses and hugs,
holding hands and falling in love.

Live for the moment, cause that's all you really have,
life is not eternal, but this moment you can grab.
Feel it with all you have inside,
enjoy the gift of being alive!

    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......
