No! It was more of a joke than anything. It's basically how I view "cloning".

I wrote something when I was studying science and having troubles trying to figure out what was ethical or not (eventually I couldn't decide and didn't feel I could make those choices so I quit). What I wrote was also meant as a bit of a joke. Mind if I post it here?

it's a bit silly really, and it doesn't keep to a pattern, but here goes.......

    that dirty word, DNA
science has too much too say
take from here and give to there
where'd it come from? do you care?

    breeding new diseases
    just to find the answers
    making up the questions
    to justify the ends

we all know that scientists are just gods that can bleed
you can live forever on the spare parts that they breed
you'd think they would have learnt from doctor frank and got some sense
but they're happy in their world of arrogance
where they're so high above all the rest
and moral standards have no place 'cause they know best

mix people with fruit and cows with fish
    makes for a tasty dish
mix and match our body parts
ear from a mouse and a big pigs heart
order me a dead mans arm
    technology, what's the harm?

you can't prove there's radiation of cancerous proportions
doesn't matter anyway, soon we'll have the cure
do as we say without caution
or live your life in fear
    of falling behind in society
where all we want is ALL we see
    must keep up with technology
we all rely on our machines
(and their makers who have forgotten their maker)

That wasn't silly. It was interesting and it made me think.

thanks, but i know it's not good. I was just getting out all my anger about science. It had me so frustrated at the time. And people look to it like religion. Ahhh, it had me questioning so much. anyway's I'm tired. it's 1:30 am. time for bed. thatnks for sharing by the way. I really like your poem.

I like this. It made me stop and think. Its simple, but says so much
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
