A Mother's Thoughts

What can I teach you,
that's really important for you to know?
How should I guide you,
as each day you grow?
Time will not stand still for me,
to figure out the answers I seek.
I am the greatest teacher of all.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, I'm on call.
To shape and mold such little minds,
to products of life that are one-of-a-kind.
To surround you in love all of the time,
and gentle wisdom to treasure you as mine.
How can I help you one day be,
those unique special adults you will turn out to be?

This is beautiful. I wanted to write my own words to it, like I do at other times, but it reminds me of my nieces so it must be just what I would want to say.
