You Said

You take it to the limit,
and push against the restraints.
Over time your point will be proven,
and their memories will be stained.

The dam will overflow,
come crashing on their heads.
Drowning with surprise,
they will remember what you've said.

They will live with regret,
and remember what you said.
They will wish the clocks reset,
and remember what you said.

When they're lying alone in their beds,
it will continue swimming in their heads.
And they can't help but remembering,
remembering what you said.

    I really like this.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

anyhoo - on topic - i really like this line...

    drowning with surprise

it sounds both good and bad simultaneously to me, kinda like most of the stuff in life.
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

    I like these lines.
when I think about them, I'm 'they' and they're 'you'. :)
    was that understandable? :D
I always think about the things people have said to me. I'm wondering things like, "why did he say it like THAT?" and so on.

but all in all, the poem is great.
    it has a twin2 quality promise. :)

oh, I'm not making any sense now. it's 03:45 AM here and I have to stay up til 07:00 AM!
