She heard birds chirping
a song she'd never heard
and leaves were singing in harmony.

Harsh car horns bellowed brashly
which scared her,
and the voices of people
were not all the same
as she had imagined.

The coffee pot percolated
as water ran from the sink
she touched everything to
hear what sound it would make.

The music, she fell in love
with the music
she sat there all day
playing album after album
and she cried.

Then she woke up.
I never meant to hurt you, mi diablo, mi amigo, but I've built up so much character I have an alter ego. I have to make a clean break & I have to do it quick because the pain you give me babe would make Cal Ripken call in sick!!!

when did you place the hidden camera in my apartment? And will you please turn it off now?

Unless you can get some really good shots of my cat playing whilst I'm away.

Just kidding. It's a very good poem.

    when she woke up.....

    It was a New Day

to heard the birds sing, the music, the coffepot, the people,

but they were not quite the same, as in her dream
maybe for real, they could seem

Maybe reality, is just a dream
    all mocked up, from nothing
    yet something,
    it real

What it is, is what you can perceive, and feel
