Its time to sit you down my pet,
explain some things so true.
This story thats inside my head,
perhaps because of you.
Last night I closed my eyes and tried,
to wish the rain away;
but when my eyes did open soon,
it was another day.
It's in a land, so far from home,
that myself I found.
Sitting high upon gold trees,
with leaves upon the ground.
I spied a bird, fragile and small,
who whistled a gay tune;
I knew its song, and sung along,
the 'Melody of the Moon'.
For every year, and every life,
there can only be but one;
one love so strong, and oh so bright,
it does outshine the sun.
That's why if I, did have to choose,
from bodies in the sky.
I'd pick the moon, by far and none,
the others make me cry.
For stars are grand, and always bright,
but they tell a lie.
For stars that shine so bright tonight,
ten years ago did die.
Remove the stars, and take your pick
between the sun and moon;
and as the sun's not always bright,
compared to love this noon.
The moon I'll be, inside the night,
looking down on you.
I watch your love shine so bright,
and make the sun subdue.
Now, sitting high up in my tree,
with my feathered friend.
Perhaps this rain is not so bad,
because my love wont end.
I closed my eyes, just one more time,
and found myself back home.
laying warm inside our bed,
with love I've always known.

I never meant to hurt you, mi diablo, mi amigo, but I've built up so much character I have an alter ego. I have to make a clean break & I have to do it quick because the pain you give me babe would make Cal Ripken call in sick!!!

you are a poet love. it does NOT matter if you aren't published or selling your work...... you are already a writer and it is up to you what to do with that.
