A Token

Shriveled peddles
tokens of their lust
washed over innocents,
without regret they crumble;
lingering is the scent of death,
sinful lips sing
the blessing of sorrow;

two hearts sewn
intwine the secrets
rendered behind painted veils.
hearts of fire flow
blending into velvet
smooth as their bare skin exposed;

flames burning in the darkness,
the feast endless
a taste of desire, within moments
fills the hunger.
hour upon hour unfolds
the triumph of passion,
needs surrendering
within moments fade,
receding to a dying rose.
I never meant to hurt you, mi diablo, mi amigo, but I've built up so much character I have an alter ego. I have to make a clean break & I have to do it quick because the pain you give me babe would make Cal Ripken call in sick!!!
