Love is elusive
Like a butterfly on gossamer wings
To be pursued with great patience.
And when captured, held lightly with open hands.
Love is strong
more unmoveable than a mountain
When faced with adversity
It stands steadfast, never wavers
Love is light
streaming into the dark recesses of your mind
Illuminating the corners of your life
And banishing all that is dark
Love is truth
It knows no falsehoods
makes no excuses or pretence
It is never coy or evasive.
Love is without boundary,
No vessel can contain it
or hope to hold it in.
It will multiply and grow twofold
With every portion expended
Love is eternal
It has no beginning, it has no end
It existed before conception
And will last long past physical death
Love is without reason
It is not logical or analytical
It can't be measured or predicted
It simply exists
Love is a gift
To be given freely even by the poorest of us.
Not as a reward or favour
But purely for the joy in giving
Love is everything
It can overcome all obstacles
Calm all fears, fulfill all needs,
It is the chrysalis of all that is serene

I never meant to hurt you, mi diablo, mi amigo, but I've built up so much character I have an alter ego. I have to make a clean break & I have to do it quick because the pain you give me babe would make Cal Ripken call in sick!!!
