the meaning of life
dont give
or receive hatred
ignore it when it comes your way
ignore your own judgments
the less evil you commit
the more you will love people
the more you will not hate
the meaning of life
is the measure of your love
one who knows the source
can go as deep as they want
selflessness and promotion
of everyone else
when no one knows
no jealousy is felt
no competition or comparison
freedom from fear of what others think
and thinking you need to impress
a glorious place to be
quiet in my soul
a gentle and quiet place
that once was full of the sound of war
taking no pride in your personal talents
they you did not give yourself
letting go
giving up personal desires
we all bring our concern
for everyone else
we open our hearts wide
we discipline ourselves
and welcome all

Welcome to the board, thank you for the nice poem, very thoughtful
it only makes today worse.
Wow..that was really good. How did you get so mature? (:
I always think that on our deathbeds the ONLY thing we will regret is the love we held back. Not the cars, houses jobs etc. that we missed out on.
Welcome
My favorite stanza:
"a glorious place to be
quiet in my soul
a gentle and quiet place
that once was full of the sound of war"
