never at a loss for words

i know someone
who's never had writer's block
she thinks everything
can be explained by talk
to her words are more beautiful
than a Kansas sunset
and the fact that she never
does what she says
is a safe bet

living in daydreams
she doesnt even see
the liar and the hypocrite
people see her to be
to erase her memory
and the wreck that's been her life
that is what i'd do
if it were up to me

she tried to explain my father's death
thinking her words would soothe with depth
but really the thing, what i desire most
is that she'd shut up her vain opportunist boast

i was at a loss for words myself
the only things i write now
i leave on the shelf

because if something's too beautiful for words
then that's the thing that should be heard

but it's these things we can't explain
that leave the words to appear quite plain
maybe now all it will ever be is a game
it will be a long time until i write again

It's so eerie, almost, because it makes me wonder if someone would write about me that way. This line grabbed me:

to her words are more beautiful
    than a Kansas sunset

This flows very well, and it is very sharp and cutting. Who ever the protagonist is I'm glad that person is writing again.
