What Counts

What Counts

let me count the ways
upon your toes or fingers
or upon the days I’ve spent
looking for someone
to count

let me count the ways
upon ones, twos, and threes
including all the fractions
in between,
let me count five and four
ticks of a clock,
each second
and its divisions
from the moment
you opened
the door

let me count the ways
upon the photons of
the sun’s rays
and the minutes
it took
each one
to reach your face

Oh let me count the ways
as the list grows
longer and longer
congesting my throat
and making me choke
on what
must be love

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all your Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all your Tears wash out a Word of it

    choking on love sounds like heaven.......sometimes when I'm in love, I get this feeling in my stomach like nerves - or when I think of my baby, I get a constriction in my chest, like I won't be able to breath
    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

    very great, this should be made into a song! :)
    lay down all thoughts; surrender to the void
    ~it is shining it is shining~
