Sometimes it is not enough
Just knowing
That tomorrow
Will come like today

I forget sleep
In favor of watching
The sun crest
Through the fog,
Evaporating
Morning’s moisture

If it is all pointless
Then what is worth
Waiting for?
Resolve fails,
Sleeplessness,
And the warm
Body beside
Mine.

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all your Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all your Tears wash out a Word of it
