Dreamgirl

He wants to hold her hand
but all he feels are blades of grass
between his finger's

He longs for her warmth
and grabs the earth beneath him

He closes his eyes
feels the wind on his face
and remember's her breath

His lungs empty out sighs of lonliness,
hugs his knees, burry's his face
and tastes his tears

Hears a bird's song, it's her voice
Raises his head
sees a weeping willow's branches
sway in the breeze
thinks of her long dark hair.

He picks a daisy
and rubs it's velvet soft pedals
agaisnt his lips, missing her mouth.

A near by waterfall, splashes his face
looking into the pool of water
swirls of promise captivate him
as her eyes once did.

Clouds roll by, draping him in grey
realizing tomorrow will bring
another empty day
without his dreamgirl
If I could be anything in the world I would be your teardrop...I would be born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips.

    the force is with you.
live and let live...unless it violates the pearligious doctrine.
  • like it!!

    words never listen
How can I forget your tender smile
Moments that I have shared with you
    Our hearts may break
    But they're on their way
And there's nothing I can do

    thats some good stuff
Had my eyes peeled both wide open, and I got a glimpse
Of my innocence... got back my inner sense...

Tell them you love them. Never let the mundane, the unimportant, or worse, the misunderstood, be the final words of parting.

Have you ever loved somebody so much it makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad you cant sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words but they dont come out right
    Have you ever
    Have you ever
    (Have you ever)

Have you ever been in love, been in love so bad
You'd do anything to make them understand
Have you ever had someone steal your heart away
You'd give anything to make them feel the same
Have you ever searched for words to get you in their heart
But you dont know what to say and you dont know where to start

Have you ever found the one you've dreamed of all your life
You'd do just about anything to look into their eyes
Have you finally found the one you've given your heart to
Only to find that one won't give their heart to you
Have you ever closed your eyes and dreamed that they were there
And all you can do is wait for the day when they will care

Have you ever loved somebody so much (so much) it makes you cry
(Makes you wanna break down and cry)
Have you ever needed something so bad(so, so bad) you cant sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words but they dont come out right
    (Have you ever)
    Have you ever
    Have you ever
    (Have you ever ever ever)
    Have you ever

I remember posting poetry many years ago on aol, and a certain person would always reply with a poem.. which always struck me as peculiar as it was more oneupsmanship than inspiration.

I don't know you good people, but there appears to be some real talent on exhibition

Isn't it a waste to hide work inside another person's thread? If the other poem is the source of inspiration, one could always thank that person and mention their poetry.

Just a thought and uhm, I guess I won't write here after all.

I agree with you if it's tucked away in a thread no one will ever see it:o

I may not make much sense in what i do, or where I am posting, but I have to now wonder about you? Do you write for a reaction...or just cause you feel the need to? Like from something inside you? Well, thats how it goes for me. Might even be a complusion. So Sorry I interrupted your thread and it wasnt what you thought u should have here read. Please dont stop posting on account of some accident.

I write because I must. All it takes might be a phrase or an image in my mind's eye or a thought. When I have to, I open notepad. The compulsion to write is ever always. The compulsion to share is very strong, but a little easier to control... sometimes. For this I have a blog.

This isn't my thread. No threads are mine. I'm not even a resident in the building, I'm passing through. The tendency caught my eye. Having been there, I didn't want to go again.

Consider it personal preference. I made an observation. You need not have to consider me or worry about me. I'm fine. It's all good.
