sorry folks, no archaism here.

To Begin Again

I have to close my eyes for an hour, maybe more;
Words arrive then,
Jumbled though, they always begin to form;
My thought is to listen;
Sounds are present eternally,
If hearing is applied then music is made without instruments,
In time;
Yet music is beyond time;
Rhythm is Nature on a disconnected clock;
Hanging from clouds the sunlight keeps life steady;
Indeed history is written by the sky,
That is why I have to close my eyes--
To begin again.
change begins with discontent.

  • Better. I'd switch those lines in the passive voice to the active to give the poem more whoomph, though.
  • This is great, velvet I site!

    Mmmmm, beautiful! Your poem made me smile. :)
