monsoon impatience

none would pause for words too many
i force a rhyme against time
drenched with drizzles
a patient flue … confused
in leftover moments
gathered over schedules
leave a poem with just a line

i watch the rain fall at work, while …
clouds above my backyard wonder
if curtains on my window cover my eyes!

Are you waiting for a storm?

We've been having thunder storms here today. I like 'em because they're exciting. I like torrential rain because of the energy and the sound.

not exactly waiting for a storm ... just expressing the sedative nature of a monsoon ..... the chos, hurry, soggy ness ..

    i dunno

maybe, rains connect (combine) different regions around .... through one common aspect ... one common emotion

the rain means a lot to humans...
i've never met anyone who doesn't like a thunderstorm
and monsoon season, where i live... is MOST welcome
and the skies created thereby are just amazing...

i wonder why it connects us so?

    ....something to ponder

its the similarity in the way our inability to continue with our daily lives affects us .... inspite of the inconvenience ... the sight is beautiful ....

tied to a window frame, everyone looks at the rain with the same amazement .... the phenomenon of water pouring down from nowhere !!

maybe it evokes the feeling of getting a response from the the heavens
maybe it washes down with it ... everything that happened in the previous year
    maybe it simply purifies air

its like watching an ocean from the coast ... its amazing everywhere around the world ... u never see where it ends

watching rain from a window, u don't realy see if its not raining beyond .....
being in the rain though ... is like being a part of the phenomenon itself

i like the sun though ... and not clouds ............. so i can only guess

i wonder how much being so much water, ourselves affects our amazement...
i wonder if some primordial sort of schpeal is at play? or perhaps some genetic memory as mammals originated from the sea... explaining that personal bond I feel with the ocean when, like you said... looking at it from the shore. it's not the same as being on a boat out in the middle of it. i've done that too, and longed for noisy bars and hot food on land...

or maybe it's just that rain is temporary? most of the time, it is not raining, and I can only speak for the places in which i've lived....

do seattlites feel the same? amazonians?

yeah ... i guess its absolutely different when it rains more often ....

here ... its been raining for over 12 hrs now .... its too forced ... besides practical reasons ... its annoying .... u know ... like u'r unable to see clearly beyond 10 feet ... ... u'r unable to go out for a walk beyond 10 blocks ... u'r tied .... ..

there is an emotional high ... yes .. but u wanna shrug it off after a while ...

u want to suddenly rip the poetry off your window pane and clean up the sill ..........u want to be rational and believe science ..... . you almost want to realise that its raining because of the temperature & pressure difference and evaporation and stuff ...........

yes ... maybe because we're so much of water ourselves ...... after a while, stimulated enough ... u wanna pour out ... but where !! ........ there has to be dry patch which is too late to be found ...
