I thought that you could transform me
with a simple wave of your wand
I know there's plenty in the sea
you're the only one in my pond

You can deny it was around
I think you know it always was
If you hit me with a "Why?"
I'll throw you a "Because"

I go outside to walk it off
but you're the only one I see
I could walk right through my shoes
and you'd still be ahead of me

My darkest years have left me wise
still quick to laugh through deepest blue
I have come to realize
no one is better than you

I would say I've had my fill
but there's still things I'd like to try
I'm not cold enough to kill
and I'm not old enough to die.
"I'll tell you what: If all I had was Pearl Jam, and I didn't have another band in the world, I would not be worried. Because in there is the essence of making great music. You don't have to use it all at once, but it's there." - Neil Young
