Clouds of smoke form at one end of a large room
At the other, an elderly man rests his eyes, collecting thoughts at a merciful speed

A tap runs, intermittently, on one side of a wall
On the other, a young woman hits the ground with a resounding thud, eyelids and moustaches twitch in unison

The lonely soul streched and frayed over the mahogany makes an unreasonable demand
The one in his eyes stares back at he, attempting to calm, yet in reality is trying to decide what top would go with her new brown boots

A fur-clad widow makes a false promise to her daughter
Whilst underneath the table in her leather bag is concealed a bottle of pills that will cause a grievance.

One in, one out

    ..except for the woman with the eyelids and moustaches...
    did she really 'have to' have a moustache...? :p

    This one is mysterious!
    &&&&&&&&&&&&&&
  • The Gamekeeper's Lodge is the name of a pub. Within the pub at a particular moment in time, a number events take place, insignificant to a bystander, but of great importance to those who are involved.

    It's a little enigmatic, maybe now you will read it differently.
