Thoughts of a mountaineer

Taking on too much again
Your shoulders are too fragile, eyes too narrow
Legs too rusty, lungs too stony
But I'll be there for you
As long as I need you
You were always on my mind
When you were in the way
And love is such a simple word
Much, much simpler than what I've heard
And now you've turned against me
Don't you call for backup

    Thx Ali :)
This is not really me thinking, actually. I just tried to image how it would feel being a "mountaineer" in a broken love. I mean, a mountaineer has the goal of reaching the summit of a mountain, but on the way there are complications - a juxtaposition of love and his personal goal. So, this poem is an example of how some "mountaineers" cope with this frustrating conflict.
A lot of people are "mountaineers" these days...

read some of the romantics, they went climbing in the Alps, and there were all kinds of hearts being broken......Matthew Arnold is an example......as far as my memory serves me.......mountaineers are entirely uninteresting to me, whereas motorbike couriers and pilots......can really grab my attention.....and poets too.....mostly writers......especially Blixen......that unsurpassed writer and pilot.......but also Richard Bach......mountains are too low - I want the sky or the universe
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......
