She's all wrapped up in her post-glam shell
Cheap perfume, but a delicate smell
She's smilin when she's cryin so you're never sure
What lies behind all the empty allure
She keeps her eyes closed tight <=Bridge
As she sleeps by firelight
Lady hides her face
But haunts my mind
A clear cut case
Of the blind leading the blind <= Chorus
Lady hides her face
But haunts my mind
She's mine
She keeps a memory in her perfect mind
Of the songs she knew once upon a time
She sings of long lost love in a broken voice
And you don't wanna feel her pain but you've got no choice
Bridge + Chorus
What do you think? It's inspired by someone very special to me...

Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

i don't know much about songwriting, though. i hear it's quite different from poetry writing, which is what i do. nonetheless, me likey.
That's actually the first time those lyrics have seen the light of day. Even my bandmates haven't seen 'em yet.
it only makes today worse.
The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
-Always Nasty
I LOVE that song. I just hope it doesn't sound too much like it
Thanks for all your kind words, they're really encouraging. This is pretty different to the kind of stuff I'd usually write for my band, so I wasn't very confident about it.
Theyre really good, maybe you should teach me to write like that or move to galway to join my 'band' lol

Thanks, that's sweet.
As I said, it's pretty different to the stuff I'd usually write. My band's got another song called Too Good For You, and it's pretty much the direct opposite of this song.
Diversity is cool
What type of music do u play ie hard rock, grunge, punk (or both:grunk as i call it) hair metal (hopefully not) etc

I like to think of it as something of a cross between classic rock and the glam rock scene of the 70's. Our singer thinks of it as something of a cross between Velvet Revolver and a classic rock band. Our bassist thinks of it a heavy metal band. Our drummer thinks it's a rock band.
I think our drummer's right
