According to Jim Morrison "a friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself." I could not agree with this more, but it led me to think about my definition of a life partner. It would have to encompass Jim's definition of a friend, but what is the special extra feature that makes this person more than just that? You could easily just answer with sex, but any girl can provide any man with that, making it too common. It must be something unique and provocative dealing with the personality, but what? I think it might be the person that can cause you to experience each of your emotions to their full potential, make you the happiest you've ever been or even the saddest. Make your passion reach new levels. After all that is the basis of life. Our emotions are ultimately what controls our lives and it can be beautiful. To be loved and cared for can make us truly feel. Even if we have to deal with pain, it strengthens us as people. Experience is how we improve, and if we are with somebody that is constantly causing us to experience all of our feelings in their entirety, then we are improving because of this person, and maybe that's why we can love them. Maybe that's what they have to offer that nobody else does. Whether you are male or female your life partner should be the person that is the cause of emotional experience. Love is an experience of all emotions.

I concur. :) I enjoyed your thoughts on love, LAG.

"To be loved and cared for can make us truly feel." - I like that and I think you're right. When you're truly experiencing love, you feel lifted and in tune. :)
