finally
I've waited for a while
to feel the cool breeze
and hear the trusted rainfall.


My body is warm tonight
but not over-heated
I can close my eyes
all relaxed
and look forward to my
other life in my dreams.

I seek that warm place
where I can be comforted
with the one I love.

Crawl with me under the blankets

Pity this one's been overlooked. I really like the directness and genuine feel of the voice here. It's open and confident. In many ways it doesn't use words in a typically 'poetical' manner but there's something about the sincerity of the piece that transcends commonplaces and is more poetic.
